The National Byway is a 3,200-mile (5,150km.) sign-posted leisure cycling route, round England and parts of Scotland and Wales. The route takes advantage of quieter roads and country lanes and is mostly flat through the Cam Valley.
The Cambridgeshire section of the route navigates through a scenic corridor of villages including Newton, Thriplow, Fowlmere, Foxton, Barrington and Orwell.
The route is designated by discreet brown signs.
