Cambridge Open Studios is a long‑running celebration of art and creativity across Cambridgeshire, bringing together a diverse community of artists, makers and designers working in a wide range of media. For over 50 years, the initiative has supported both amateur and professional creatives, fostering connections, collaboration and opportunities to share original work with the public.
Each July, the festival invites visitors to step inside working studios across the region, offering a unique chance to meet artists, see how artworks are created, and buy pieces directly from the makers. Taking place over several weekends, the event attracts thousands of visitors and highlights the variety, skill and creativity of the local artistic community, alongside demonstrations, exhibitions and a welcoming atmosphere that makes art accessible to all.
Artists can be found in many villages close to our railway stations including Meldreth, Melbourn, Shepreth, Fowlmere, Barrington, Haslingfield, Great Shelford, Little Shelford, Stapleford and Sawston.
